Naomi and Liev welcomed a healthy baby boy in Los Angeles, named Alexander Pete Schreiber. He weighed in at 8 lbs., 4 oz., and measured 22 1/2 inches.
The arrival, which her rep said was at 3:59 p.m. on July 25, was slightly ahead of schedule. According to an insider, "Naomi was planning on giving birth next week-- her due date was early August -- but since she insisted on delivering naturally, she knew there was a chance she would have the baby before the due date. That's what wound up happening." The insider says mother, child and the baby's father are resting comfortably at a hospital near Naomi's Brentwood, Calif., estate. Says the insider: "This is a dream come true for both of them and they've done everything in their power to make it as special as possible, right down to staying in the dark about the baby's sex right up until Naomi gave birth." Congratulations to Naomi and Liev!!! |

The Courier Mail is now confirming that Naomi has signed on for a supporting role in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, reportedly to play Draco's mother Narcissa Malfoy.
Also joining the cast is Joseph Fiennes and Stuart Townsend. Production is scheduled to start in September. Warner Brothers has not confirmed or denied this information yet. |

And yet another movie project for Naomi! According to the Hollywood Reporter, our girl has just signed on to star opposite Clive Owen in The International, an action thriller written by Eric Singer and that Tom Tykwer is directing for Columbia Pictures.
The plot centers on an obsessive Interpol agent (Owen) who spearheads an investigation into one of the world's most high-profile and powerful banking institutions in an attempt to expose them for worldwide arms brokering, corruption and murder. Watts will play a Manhattan assistant district attorney who partners with the agent to take down the bank. Production is scheduled to begin in Berlin this fall. |
